Our Mission
The Family Services Technology Council will help empower caseworkers by delivering a blueprint on how best to leverage technology to improve caseworker-client relationships and to create better outcomes for the families they serve.
By presenting its findings to state and local agencies and family services organizations, the Council hopes to ensure a better future for our state government workers and the people they serve.
- Technology adoption for family services is about improving decisions and, ultimately, outcomes.
- Technology adoption, in and of itself, should not be the goal.
- Rather, investments in technology should create opportunities for relationship-building.
- Better relationships lead to better decisions.
Many states have already completed field technology deployments and others are still seeking guidance on SACWIS. By advancing best practices for state and local governments, the Family Services Technology Council can help all social welfare organizations in their goals to ensure better decisions and improve lives. We cannot ignore the vital role and needs of the caseworker, and any additional effort to define best practices should be focused on the view from the caseworkers' perspectives. |
