Our Vision
It Starts with a Relationship
Protecting children and families starts with a relationship and the right technology can empower caseworkers to build better relationships with the children and families they serve.
By creating an opportunity for relationship-building, the caseworker can foster a more positive experience enabling greater stability and trust between the caseworker and the child. This bond of trust ultimately results in better decision-making, better outcomes and a better future for both children and their families.
Technology can be a catalyst to fostering better relationships between the caseworker and their clients. However, technology can also interfere with the relationship, sometimes creating artificial barriers to trust.
Any relationship is founded on the principle of trust and every opportunity the caseworker has to work with a family or a child is another opportunity for establishing trust.
Trust is earned; it is not granted. The sum total of experiences are part of that earned process. Each and every interview, visitation or form is another opportunity or potential barrier to trust.
If technology is not built for human interaction, it can become a cold, bureaucratic tool for case management.
But technology can be integrated into the case management experience in a positive way — one that encourages affirmation and constructive dialogue leading to better outcomes. |
